The Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (BOS) is a not-for-profit foundation supported by sister organisations around the world, such as BOS Australia. Green Light PR’s brief was two-fold, firstly to raise awareness of BOS Australia’s work in Borneo and secondly to promote a fundraising event held in conjunction with Orangutan Caring Week.
Green Light PR developed a national public relations campaign to education Australians about the Borneo Orangutan Survival charity and their work saving Orangutans from extinction as well as the effects of the increased use of palm oil. Green Light PR then developed a local publicity campaign surrounding a Melbourne fundraising event to raise money for the BOS hospitals based in Borneo.
Melbourne radio and national television coverage resulted in a hugely successful event and much needed awareness of BOS Australia’s and their work to save the orangutans.
