St Kilda was one of the few places open for trade on a Sunday in 1950s. The St Kilda Village Traders Group wanted to remind tourists and Melbournians about the St Kilda experience and commissioned Green Light PR to design an awareness campaign that highlighted the St Kilda ‘past and present’
Green Light PR were very excited about the campaign and developed some grass-root activities along with some creative concepts that highlighted the past and future of the village. Some of the key activities launched was a vintage map aimed at tourists putting St Kilda back on the map; a Christmas and Winter collectable postcards based using 1950’s themes and a Christmas campaign that would generate local news coverage within the city.
